Initial Air Force EITaaS Enterprise IT BPA Contract Awarded

Initial Air Force EITaaS Enterprise IT BPA Contract Awarded

9/2/2022

The Air Force has awarded the first wave of the Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) contract to CACI International and nine other group members. EITaaS can be expanded to a 10-year length and has an award ceiling of $5.7 billion. It is a contract for enterprise- IT support services to the Air Force as the agency seeks to outsource more technology services to third parties.

The other businesses working with CACI to fulfill this requirement are Bowhead Logistics Management, Cartridge Technologies, Cask NX, CDIT, Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Expansia Group, InSequence, Oneida Technical Solutions, and Vision Information Technology Consultants. CACI and its team members overcame 3 other proposals for the first wave 1 blanket purchase agreement (BPA). Air Force's Enterprise IT as a Service EITaaS

These firms will handle IT service desk support and managing a variety of services for 700k worldwide users for this initial wave of EITaaS. This includes setting up an online IT store for Air Force personnel to purchase these services. Overall this initiative aims to improve network security and ease-of-use for personnel to request services.

Meaningful functions include providing more manpower for the Air Force and Space Force to identify and mitigate network complications. Other areas of concentration include, integrated security management, automated and non-invasive compliance checks on devices, troubleshooting enhancements, perpetual refreshes to devices, and hardware updates.

A draft request for proposals (RFP) for Wave 2 is currently under development, and we can expend a schedule for industry days to be forthcoming. The second wave award will select a contractor to handle the Air Force’s on-campus networks and is expended to be awarded in calendar year 2023. Current incumbents include Verizon Business Network Services, Microsoft, and AT&T. Wave 3 is related to wide-area networks and has not been given an expected date of release.
